Event Purpose

The Hays County Preparedness Fair is an opportunity for the Hays County Office of Emergency Services to reach out to our community about disaster preparedness for themselves, their family and their community. We encourage our community to be trained, equipped, and empowered to help in an emergency before professional help arrives.

Event Plan

This year our Preparedness Fair has gone Virtual! We will be utilizing Zoom’s virtual meeting platform on September 26th to provide the public with free disaster related and emergency planning techniques, classes, and information on a variety of levels. Below is our Virtual Presentation Schedule. Each presentation will be given by either certified first responders, trainers or the organization's official representatives. Throughout the month of September, we will be showcasing videos on our Facebook and Twitter pages made from our very own local First Responders, Law Enforcement, and Public Service Organizations to inform and educate our community on all the hard work and dedication they do for us! Additionally, you can catch our "30 Days, 30 Ways" to be prepared on our Office of Emergency Services Facebook & Twitter.
